Once the Options window opens, select Locations at the top and then VST Plug-ins from the tabs that appear. This is where we direct the Studio One software to read the location of our Plug-ins. Next, click Add at the bottom left of the window. This will pull up a file browser that will allow us to choose the location of your plug-ins. Add VST2, VST3, and AudioUnits support to Studio One Artist (Versions 3 and 4) and run any compatible plug-ins or virtual instruments! Also adds Rewire support for live integration with other software. Important Note: This Booster Pack is only compatible with Studio One Artist. All these plugins are both PC and Mac VST and AU so will work with Studio One. https://ameblo.jp/jautornilab1982/entry-12632368929.html. Hi, I've been using presonus Studio One for a few years, starting with Artist 2. I now run Artist 3, and I recently started working with Mac.
I cannot get this plugin:
http://www.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/~andrewm/com . ssoverUnit
to work within Studio One Artist. The other Apple AU plugins seem to work fine, and the plugin in question works fine inside AU Lab.
Does anybody have any recommendations or an expalination as to why?
I have successfully the AU/VST/Rewire support module, and have no problems with other plugins.
Thanks for any help!
-Nick

Probably a stupid question but - are you sure this plugin is designed to work inside a DAW enviroment?
Regards.

Maybe one day I'll actually finish a project!

Heck no, ha!
Not a stupid question at all. I actually have no idea if this plugin is designed to work within a DAW. I'm VERY new to Mac, and AU plugins, so, no, I really don't have the slightest clue.
I actually am using Studio One in a very unconventional way..well, conventional in the sense that I'm using it for recording, but, unconventional in the sense of WHAT I'm recording, and why.
I an mot a musician, rather, a scientist of sorts. I work in an engineering lab for a large aftermarket car audio manufacturer, we design/engineer/prototye/test/develop DSP based car audio products, and I use Studio One for purposes of recording the acoustic environment within the vehicle, with multi-element microphone arrays (hence the need for a multi-track DAW, Studio One's flexibility with input/output routing is the best I've yet found), the recordings can then be played back, looped thru a dsp, and fed into an analysis system like Smaart for example, and what you have then is the ability to adjust DSP parameters in real time and measure its effect on the response, but, in the comfort of your office, without the need of the actual vehicle being present.

Sounds like an interesting project but well outside of my experience envelope. Perhaps an enquiry aimed directly at the plugin developer might solicit a more pertinent response.
Meanwhile, for future reference, if you could include your (relevant) equipment spec's it would assist with any responses.
Good luck - sorry I can't be of any assistance.
Regards.
